Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 July 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and the independent developer who makes Laki, based in the Philippines and publishing under the name aadan. By installing or using Laki you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. What Laki is
Laki is a record-keeping and point-of-sale tool for small businesses. It helps you record what you sell, what you are owed and what is in your drawer.
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Laki on devices you control, for your own business. You may not resell it, rent it out, reverse-engineer it, or remove its notices, except where your local law says you may regardless.
4. Payment
Buy it once
Laki is a paid app. You pay ₱299 once, through the app store, and you own that version and its updates on the platform you bought it on. There is no subscription for the app itself, and no feature you have paid for will later be moved behind a recurring fee. Everything the app does on your device — selling, credit, stock, drawer, receipts, backups to your own storage — is included.
Optional subscription for cloud features
Features that cost us money to run every month — cloud backup and restore, multi-device sync, team accounts, a web dashboard — are not included, because they are not a one-time cost to provide. If and when they launch they will be an optional subscription at ₱149 per month, clearly priced before you subscribe, and cancellable at any time. Cancelling never disables the app or locks you out of your own data; you keep everything on your device and can still export it.
Billing and refunds
Purchases and any subscriptions are billed by the app store, not by us, and their refund policy applies. If something is genuinely broken, email aadan.dev@gmail.com and we will try to fix it or help you get a refund from the store.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep your device, passphrase and account credentials secure.
- Keep your own backups. Data lives on your device; if it is lost, stolen, wiped or damaged and you have no backup, the data is gone.
- Enter accurate information — the app's output is only as good as its input.
- Comply with the laws that apply to your business, including receipts, tax and how you handle your customers' personal data.
- Do not use Laki for anything unlawful.
6. Backups and data loss
Backup files are encrypted with a passphrase you choose. We cannot recover a lost passphrase, and we cannot recover data you never backed up — there is no cloud copy today, so your export is the only copy. Back up regularly and keep the file somewhere you will still have it if the phone is lost.
7. Availability and changes
Core features work offline. Optional online features may be unavailable during maintenance or outages. We may add, change or remove features over time; if a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in the app.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, Laki is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (and any subscription) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Laki at any time by uninstalling it and, if you have one, deleting your account. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the Philippine courts have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
